Learn how to use EndNote X6 software to manage references for a paper or project. Specifically, this session will cover:
Bring your computer if you would like to follow along! Please note: This session is for the desktop version of EndNote which is now available for free to UAB faculty, staff, and students (does not include health system). You can download EndNote X6 from the UAB IT Software Library (make sure you follow these download instructions: Windows or Mac). If you want to learn to use the version of EndNote that is free for health system employees (EndNote Web), you should attend our EndNote Web session. EndNote X6 has more feature and functionality than EndNote Web, but both versions allow you to perform the basic tasks for managing references in Word documents. *Bring a (non-messy) brown bag lunch if you like; LHL will provide snacks and drinks. Please note: Due to remodeling on the Ground floor of the library, including our Electronic Classroom, our Express Training classes are temporarily being taught in the Fletcher Room (2nd floor) of Lister Hill. This room does NOT have individual workstations, so if you have a laptop you’d like to bring to follow along please feel free. Introduction to EndNote for Mac Users is also offered online on April 22 at 3pm. Questions? Call the HUB at (205) 975-4821 or Ask a Librarian.
